In order to ensure that Stony Brook University Hospital has uniformity in the purchasing of Information Technology equipment, all Desktops, Laptops and Printers must be ordered through the Information Technology Division. This ensures that the equipment purchased will be able to handle all SBUH applications, develop a Hospital standard, as well as be capable of being supported by the Help Desk and Client Support departments of the Information Technology Division.

Ordering a New Device
To request a new device:
- Submit a request through the IT Service Portal
- Select the appropriate hardware request category
- Provide required department and funding information
Technology Services will:
- Review and approve the request
- Procure and configure the device
- Coordinate delivery and setup
