The IT Technology Services Department, a division of IT Infrastructure, is embarking on an initiative to update the Operating System on our Stony Brook Medicine PCs and computing devices to the Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System. The Microsoft Windows 10 OS has been recognized for its stability, reliability and ease of use. We are excited to be able to offer this technology to our community. As new PCs and devices are introduced into our environment they will have this new Operating System installed upon them. Existing devices will be updated to the new version of the Microsoft Windows based on the compatibility of the hardware with this new platform. Technicians from our Technology Services Department will coordinate the migration of devices in each Department, so as to minimize interruption to the Department's staff and workflow.
